Toni Morrison is an American novelist. Born Chloe Anthony Wofford in Lorain Ohio February 18, 1931, she published her first novel " The Bluest Eyes" in 1970 after a successful career as a publisher for Random House. Song Of Solomon was her 3rd novel and the first centered around the black male experience in the United States. She was awarded the Nobel Prize for Literature in 1994 and is to this day probably the most interesting american writer.
